2011 Pyromusical ends with a bang!

Literally and figuratively, the 2nd Philippine International Pyromusical Competition ended with a bang!

The event successfully drew thousands to watch the final fireworks display of participant, Australia and the exhibition display of the host, Philippines.

As the Philippines showcased its own pyromusical display, the audience marveled when the sky brightened up with smileys and colorful streaks of light to the tune of Katy Perry’s Firework and Bruno Mars’ Just the way you are.

The display left me breathless. These photos would explain why.

Among the nine participating countries, China emerged as the champion while UK and Japan placed first and second, respectively.

It was another fun and magical Saturday. Watching the pyromusical displays reminded me that darkness can be filled with so much light and silence can be filled with music.
